Why does Live sound so good?
I'm currently running an Mbox2 interface and have been using Pro Tools for a while now, but while recording in Pro Tools the sounds seem to be so flat and that takes a lot of mixing to get it right. However, when recording in Live it seems to me that the sounds are right up front in your face and they seem to sound really good and live, very big and fat unlike Pro Tools. Am I doing something wrong in Pro Tools?
Re: Why does Live sound so good?
i think that's because you're comparing recorded sounds (via mic) to di sounds (via soft synths). If you have a crap room and crap mics, di stuff will always sound better.

No. He must have a Bitwig Beta and because there is no obvious way to tell them apart (apart from sound quality) he has come here by mistake.antarktika wrote:so now we're taking last weeks argument and reversing it?
