Korg nanoKontrol 2 custom MIDI Remote Script
Korg nanoKontrol 2 custom MIDI Remote Script
Here's my midi remote script for the Korg nanoKontrol2. It was built from the MackieControl script, and bears a few modifications :
- The top knobs now control Sends instead of Pan.
- You can switch thtough the sends by pressing Marker left and right arrows
- Mute led is on when the track is on, led is off when the track is muted
- Flashing leds on the selected track when the selected track changes
- Flashing leds when you change the send : solo leds flash to indicate which send is selected.
More is coming, I'm not finished. I will clean the remaining MackieControl specific code that is useless with the nanoKontrol, and add functionnalities with the track, marker and cycle buttons, such as track selection, device selection, maybe device control with the 8 knobs.
In order to use it, you have to select the Ableton Live mode of the nanoKontrol2 (when you plug it on, hold SET and STOP buttons, or select it via the Kontrol Editor).
Any suggestions and requests are welcome

Re: Korg nanoKontrol 2 custom MIDI Remote Script
btw how do you install it?
Re: Korg nanoKontrol 2 custom MIDI Remote Script
copy the unzipped directory to the "MIDI Remote Scripts" folder of Ableton
should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Ableton\Live 8.2\Resources\MIDI Remote Scripts if you're on Windows

Hey !
Thanks for your script, it works very well. But I have a problem. I use an Apc 40 to control the first 8 tracks and my Nano is controling the track 9 to 12. But when I push a volume fader of the Nano, it automatically select the track asigned to this fader. Do you know a way to cancel this behaviour, beacause it's very annoying when I use an fx rack in another track... Thanks !

Hi, thanks for this - it's really great. I've tried to edit the decompyled midi remote scripts but haven't had any luck making them work. Would you be able to upload the .py files somewhere so I can see what you did? I'd really like to have a version that works just like yours except I'd like to be able to midi-map the knobs to anything in Live.

Re: Korg nanoKontrol 2 custom MIDI Remote Script
Hi,
It seems that this is what I'm looking for. But...
I tried to install it as described above. Before I set the nanokontrol to factory settings with the Korg Kontrol Editor. Only one rotation knob was working and not behaving as expected. I'm using a Mac - could this be the reason? Are there any further settings I can try to make it work? Any suggestions will be acknowledged.
