Navigating Arrangement View with Midi Contoller

Post by LFO8 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 11:31 pm

Ok, so I am operating Live Suite 8 with a Novation Zero SLmkII on a Mac with Automap Pro.

With Automap I have mapped numerous key commands to a template on the Zero SL. I can scroll through the trakcks in arrangement view (up and down) and I can go left on the live devices inside a track once I have clicked the first device inside the track.

I want to be able to not have to click on the first device to navigate my way through the devices. So that I can go up/down to the track I need en then enter it to select either one of the devices in that track to further tweak it.

how do I 'enter' a track like that in arrangement view without using the mouse??

hey there,

I use http://stc.wiffbi.com/

It has commands for all of these things and then some. I believe it's mac only, though they may have a workaround for pc.

I hope that helps

Thanks for the tip dominga. I do run this on a Mac. But I am not looking to change all key commands like with this script and another midi client when all I want is 1 control: entering a track to alter the devices (as described in opening post).

When I was running Abelton on a PC I remember having this option with some kind of key command. But for the life of me I can't figure out what that was.

PC: Alt+ arrow key. Jumps between top and bottom, and also browser.

shockingly, it's alt/option + arrow key (specifically "down" for devices). I just automapped it onto my launchpad, works fine!
