Can I get some feedback on a new track?
Can I get some feedback on a new track?
http://soundcloud.com/djmatte/anadrill-1
Just thought I would post this here and see what some people think about the overall sound and direction. Could I add or maybe tone down some parts? Thanks in advance!

http://forum.ableton.com/viewforum.php?f=9 (the only problem on that section of the forum is that nobody gives feedback).

Just keep a link in your sig, comment on others or whatever.
People will listen if they want to. I'm seeing that nobody wants to click all these "comment on my track".
I even get the occasional follower or comment, without spamming anyone.

I wouldn't call an honest post to get feedback on a track direction from other music producers spam. specifically if this is my go to place for influence, ideas, and general production knowledge. unless I've misjudged this place then clearly my mistake was simply posting in the wrong sub forum.

I'm not saying you're "spamming" as in spam-spam. I'm just saying that it's yet another "me too" post, and you should probably consider trying something else, like discussing with people on Soundcloud, rather than here. That would get you and someone else some sought-after two-way communication as well.skatr2 wrote:I wouldn't call an honest post to get feedback on a track direction from other music producers spam.
Re: Can I get some feedback on a new track?
I gotcha. I guess everyone just uses different forums and venues with different intentions. As an ableton user, I am always looking for feedback from fellow users on ideas to either improve the sound or direction of my mixes because they know what ableton specifically is capable of and can make recommendations therein. Which internal elements can help beef up certain tracks or even the wealth of music theory knowledge that exists here is usually helpful. I generally feel a better sense of community among fellow abeton users than say random people on soundcloud who may or may not understand where I am coming from. Hence the preference to post stuff here.
Re: Can I get some feedback on a new track?
I listened on my iPad . The track has promise but needs more work. The main riff sits far too infront of the mix. Chuck some reverb and fx on it and filter it to death. U need some automation in there to maintain interest too. Personally i would throw in more elements and change it up a bit. If u listen at different points during the track as it is u have no idea that it has progressed.
