How to make this sound?

Post by Airbase » Fri Jul 01, 2005 11:36 pm

Im trying to find a practical way to replicate (i know, bad me) a sound I hear occationally. Here is a clip or the sound, its in a song here, so I hope you get which one I mean (also added some silence and a repeat of only the part where that sound occurs.

What would I need to create something like that? It sounds like an lfo or something does something to something. Something like that? :)

sounds like a drop of water hitting a pan or thin piece of metal.

Sounds like a snare pitched up via a pitch envelope.

To me (shity laptop speakers), it sounds more like an analog oscillator with envelope filter and pitch enveloppe... sure you can do that with a MS-20.
