NI probably boosted them from a sample pack. 16 kicks. does it really matter?
Re: Maschine's 16 Dopest Kicks Posted
You guys are all wrong. I own the Maschine and if I make a song it is fine. If I just want to make the beats it is also fine. I simply played the pads and recorded what I played. That is fully under the license I bought. NI got my $350 when I bought the Maschine.xzusa8ky wrote:jellycaster wrote:good work

No it's not. I just played the pads and recorded it. That is fully within my license.Rationalizer wrote:Think that is against NI's license agreement

lets split hairs like a lawyer would:
he posted it as a track, a very boring track, lol, NOT 16 separate samples to give away...

Excellent work. Do you charge by the hour? I have a small problem relating to exotic animals and my regular lawyer is in communicado.simmerdown wrote:lets split hairs like a lawyer would:

yeah...technically it's against the user agreement to redistribute the individual samples, but let's face it...to certain degree COPYRIGHT IS DEAD. Not just because the technology allows someone like the original poster of this thread to go through Maschine's sound library and anonymously post the samples online, but really because to me it's obvious that sounds are 2nd or 3rd generation samples from some OTHER library.
Perhaps the sounds were compressed, eq'd, or tweaked a little bit but it's not like Native Instruments went into a studio and recorded those drum sounds from scratch. I've collected drum breaks on vinyl for over 20 years and I can name the original records that a couple of those kicks came from just off the top of my head.
