Was this removed? I seem to remember being able to configure my Faderfox to do this easily back in Live 5. But that was so long ago, I just remember it didn't require any extra programs or workarounds. Or maybe it was something special to the Faderfox? Haven't gotten it to work since, so I was either thinking it was removed or theres a setting with the Faderfox I must have forgotten about.

That's actually what Ableton Live does in response to a button press on my Roland VG-99: it'll engage an effect, but only as long as I hold the button down. The VG-99 can be set to send a MIDI CC, but it sends a 127 value while the button is down, and a 0 value when I release the button.

Just having the option of "momentary" and "toggle" would solve the problem for many users, including me.
