This is pretty interesting.

So you removed those files and it started to work? How did they get there in the first place? Which versions of MaxMSP have you installed on those computers? Do you have version numbers or mod dates on the files you moved?

I didn't removed them, I renamed them

I'm not sure, when you say "This is almost certainly interference from an earlier Pluggo install" , than it comes from a earlier Max standalone trial?

On my Computer, Max5_41208

Do you have version numbers or mod dates on the files you moved?
MaxAPI.dll version 4.5.5.49 / mod date 28-7-2005 15:17
MaxAudio.dll version 4.5.5.49 / mod date 21-7-2005 13.29

When I want to load a max instrument or effect I have no graphic interface for the instrument, when I want to open the edit interface of max for this instrument Max crash and when I want to relaunch Max, It propose to purshase Max.
