In comparison... I posted the SAME song.. on a graphics website I frequent and got 420 views in the same time span..

To be fair, you did a cover of Pumped up Kicks... I don't know too many around here into indie pop/commercial type stuff..

On a graphics site, I'd guess it would be more like a breathe of fresh air than yet another 'graphics' related post.

Chances also are in favour of this board having more people who are 'selective' about music and what they listen to vs a site about computer graphics..

Just a thought.

I really don't think the amount of daily traffic and/or posts on this forum is a good indicator of whether or not they've lost their mojo.

I too feel the forum is dead: There has been a rampant decline of Live 9 speculation threads. Anything less than 200 new Live 9 threads a day is a clear sign of decline.

Anyway, I agree, most tracks on the "Listen to my music!" section don't get much playtime and views. And many of the tracks are definitely listen-worthy -- but consider this:
How many BS spam messages do you get on SoundCloud from people begging you to listen to their newest omgamazing track? My favorites are the timed comments that go something like this:

"OH DAMN! AMAZING DROP! I make techno and am awesome. If you like listening to your own music, you'll LOVE listening to mine. Come check my sweet ass out. N BUY ME ON BEATPORT KTHX!"
It sort of makes you want to stop listening to random offerings.

I think the above folks are quite accurate in stating that since this is a music forum, we all see a silly amount of people asking to listen to music... whereas on a graphics forum, it's a breath of fresh air.

Kind of a bummer for when you want an honest critique, but alas-- Think about how much you pay attention to popup ads :)

People are busy to make music. They don't bother to come to read this new User Help Excange forum.

It is the first time this forum has ever had to go on talking about the same version of live for over 3 years though. Normally, things go nuts when the next version is announced and that used to happen every year and things would get stale towards the end of that year. So now 3 years on, nothing exciting to talk about yet...

Well, It's not just my cover song with few views, almost all the threads are pretty dead, the entire forum.. is pretty dead.

when threads.. and not just cover song threads, are getting less than 10 views....well.. that's a pretty empty forum.

Just seems to me that short of Live 9 or at LEAST some news about Live 9.. They are.. most certainly losing their mojo somewhat.

I only bring it up because i LOVE Live and it sorta saddens me that the community is so flat.

Even Ableton.com throws up very little new content these-days.
