It runs on Linux, which is what I run. Now it just remains to be seen what kind of copyprotection scheme they're using... but it's quite possible this'll be what lures me away from Renoise. I was still (naïvely?) hoping that Ableton would come around, and that maybe I'd get access to all my old music again, but oh well.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

The arranger clip launcher view kinda reminds me of maschine. I wonder if it will allow you to launch full scenes vertically....
Ableton 9, Feeltune Rhizome, Focusrite Pro, Mpk249....

Nope, they actually pushed the date back a bit. From their Faceplant page:
We are adding some new features and improvements to the software that we didn't originally plan for the 1.0 release and the public beta has been delayed longer than we originally planned because of this. Thanks for being patient! We're working as hard as we can to get the beta out as soon as we can!

Well, its supposedly being tested by a very well known guy in my scene. I know him. But I will say no more, in case it wasnt meant to come out like this.

In any case, its not a huge bomb that betas usually start in a small group, then progress to larger groups. The timing is not unreal either.

Again, Bitwig state plainly the public beta hasn't started yet. Alpha testers with big mouths don't count. :P

serious question:

will bitwig have proper PDC unlike Ableton?

=====
ie
'pre recorded Automation' plays in time if I 'add or remove' an effects chain on a track?
'Tempo synced FX' (like filter with LFO) 'play in time if I put an effects chain on a track'?

WORKFLOW:
stack loads of fx and then the cherry on the top a tempo synced filter with an LFO.... ...er its all playing out of time . .. .. Ableton = plop
======
"Plugin Delay compensation -PDC WARNING - Ableton Live 9 does not sequence all information correctly in time"
The bigger the project the more out of time it will be.
