I only interjected in this thread because of someone trying to be the English language police. That was rude of them, and so I was 10 times more rude in defence. Beat them with their own stick.

Nothing to do with policing language really, but everything to do with showing that if you are going to be a language twat, be prepared to come up against even bigger twats who may decide to take you on.

For some reason, you decided to enter the fray. So do you like language pedantry or not? If you do, you'll applaud my stance. 'Cos I out-pedanted the original pedant. If you don't, you'll applaud my stance for holding a mirror up to such obnoxious pedantry.
