Pedro is definitely the best DAW ever, it's so great it has overcome the handicap of actually not existing and still emerged as frontrunner.

It was originally for Linux, but it's for Mac also now. I messed around with a Linux box quite a while ago, but my audio interface didn't play well with it due the lack of Linux support at the time.H20nly wrote:i dunno... i am feeling sorry for Ardour. not only have i never heard of it, but it has no votes.

There are so many DAW's around, one can't know and test them all. It's supposedly quite nice and low price as one can set the price of the Ardour version by oneself. The free version, entering 0 as the price, will get you a version with some functionality missing.
Harrison Mixbus is the commercial version of it, with channel strips developed developed by Harrison Consoles.

Re: Synthtopia best daw poll
this pol go mean whoever is to have low votes is actualy the DAW that is being to used.
and are working on the DAW because it good.
and the won that has most vote is the one that dont work good because the users waste time on internet.

Hopefully Ableton Live will win. Otherwise I have to purchase a new daw and at the moment I'm broke.

Re: Synthtopia best daw poll
popularity contest. if everyone who voted tried each one of the daws for enough time to learn it inside out, so a year or so) to establish good understanding of the pros and cons of each, which is impossibly impractical. and then somehow fathom which is the 'best' and in which sense of the word (easiest to learn? best sound? best features? best looking ect) and decide which of these products, all designed to do the same job and can all do that job well,is 'better' than the rest...............the results of this poll might actually mean something.
