I mean other than just mess around writing songs and stuff, advice for someone that wants to do something with their music, other than just putting it on a website or something.

+1 to gigs. The next step is to play music in front of people.

The question is. Is that something you really want to do? You will find out if you try.

It can be fun for quite a while. Just not forever.
