Yeah. I bought Max6 + Gen. Fortunately I could make use of the student/teacher discount. Max for Live is so great to make Live do things that it otherwise couldn't do. So buying Max6 was an easy decision. I don't know if I'll ever use Gen. I'll see.

I've fallen for it. Kerching.

Had a little play last night - looks like I should get my money's worth out of it, especially with it making the APC more flexible.

I jumped in for the whole thing, getting prepared for the inevitable Live 9.....

It's amazing for what it can do with the APC, i think we'll get new remote scripts at some point fo it though so use the abstractions that use the control name to locate stuff rather than a path as i imagine these'll change...

Cheers

No problem, I have a Moog LP and honestly the sound of the GEN Moog filter freaks me out as to how good it sounds.

Does max6 + Gen come with any sort of pre-made devices?
Also curious as to how sharing works, is there a user library like reaktor has?

I put off upgrading Max until now too - couldn't resist it either! Haven't had a chance to play around with it yet, but Gen looks like it could be really interesting.
