Just learned of him. Amazing stuff. I think I might look for an old moviola and tinker a bit myself...

yesmate! DOTS knocked my socks off when i first saw it a few years back. even now, i still have no socks.
1940!! he did this almost 20 years before daphne oram made her oramic machine in the late 50s, which had a similar approach to 'drawing sound' onto film. amazing stuff.

I'm ashamed to say I knew nothing of this guy. Fascinating.

I guess sometimes the Lounge can serve a useful function in society - when the West Coast Birkenstock Mafia are asleep.
