Wicked.

i don't really philosophically agree with the use of automation (and simply, arrangement view), but i find your setup crazy, very interesting, and, most of all, your music sounds great !

look into expanding with footpedals. the kmi softstep is a great add on for the kit, and it will really open up your left foot. never get rid of the timbales.
The problem is that I do the MPO (lang's phrase) so it makes things real complicated. on left side I got a gadjet (lp), hit hat, and a double base (not for blast beats but to use when I have to turn all the way left to access congas, timbales etc i still need access to the bass drum. My feet are already working over time but I'll look into more sutff for the feet

My hands are just so much faster that if makes more sense to ahve access up top.

Either way good to hear real musicians really using software cause I don't see it enough

I'm working on doing bonoboo on the fly with a latin flare to it at the moment.

Been working through illy B's new book and can't recommend it enough
In a K induced Haze (the old K kind not the special K kind ), but an Asian spizz can sometimes bring me out! If ya don't get it, ya never will.

Thank you!

As far as the "philosophical" aspect, I've been there too. In fact, until recently I was very purist about manually controlling everything. Then I realized that I was just holding myself back. Both approaches have their up- and down-sides. And, as I state in the "overview" video, they can be combined, it doesn't have to be all one way or the other. :)

Hey guys, really great to see and hear what's going on with other peoples set ups.......I too play with this. I explain how and demonstrate a track at my website ww.b-i-d.co where you can find out more. I shan't bore you all with it here.

I truly believe that this is the way forward for drummers. I have been messing with drums and electronics since '85!!! and it's FANTASTIC to see so many more getting involved! Without the superb programming capabilities of Ableton LIVE this was a whole lot harder and nowhere near as achievable as it is now and it seems there are a growing number of like minded drummers realising this.......awesome stuff......bring on the revolution :)
