How do I hook up Ableton to a Pioneer Mixer?

Hey guys and girls,

My first post so please bear with me on this. We have a show coming up (our first non house party). Just so we are mentally prepared for hooking everything up properly, Ive got a few questions.

Our setup is as follows:

Macbook Pro
Focusrite Saffire 6 USB Audio Interface
Akai APC 40


The question is, since the club we are playing at uses a Pioneer Mixer, what are the necessary connections to get this to work.

My original thought was as follows:

APC40 usb connected to the computer
Saffire6 also usb connected to the computer
Run the master of ableton through one of the outputs on the Saffire 6 and connect that to one channel's input on the Pioneer mixer.

All the mixing would then be done in ableton with the apc40 with the Pioneer mixer just as the connection point to the house system.

Does this make any sense? Thank you in advance for anyone who can help!

thanks a bunch! and just out of curiosity, I was just looking at an image on the back of the Pioneer mixer and there are two L/R inputs per channel. Some say "line" others are "phono" and then there is a "cd/line". I know phono is generally for Turntables becasue it has a pre-amp. But which of the other two should I plug into? Thanks again!
