Hello,
I am following with interest the advancing development of Live 8 as a 64 bit app.
Two questions:
Is 64bit Live 8 more stable than 32bit (on PC's with Win7/64bit at least) according to your experiences, fellow Abletonians ?
Does the absence of MFL support in the 8.4beta logically mean that it indeed has to be more stable (in view of earlier versions of Live being less crashy, they not having the added MFL functionality) ?
Thx.

64bit Live more stable than 32bit (on PC Win7/64bit) ?
Apple MacBook Air M2 (2022), 24 GB RAM, 1TB internal SSD, MacOS 12 Monterey (up-to-date), Ableton 11 Standard (up-to-date), NI Komplete 14, Steinberg UR22 mkII

Live 64bit won't crash when your mix needs more than 3.2GB of RAM that should eliminate a lot of crashes for uses that use sampled instruments. I think M4L was made by a thirdparty.

Hi UnderwaterSunlight,
I would recommend we first try to nail down some more problems and fix them. And then, if hopefully more and more people say 'How long do we need to wait further until you finally release 8.4, you should make a poll about the quality of the beta.
I will lock this thread now to make it easier for us to keep track of the open issues.
Regards, Bernd.
