Yes, audio recording works and buttons can be fully mapped in Live.

Basically it works, but there are serious limitations.

Using Propellerhead's Balance Interface/Controls with Live

Post by ohrobot » Thu Jul 12, 2012 7:12 pm

I like the form factor of Propellerhead's Balance Audio interface a lot but I will certainly keep using Ableton Live for my music recording. As far as I read the audio interface itself should work fine with Ableton Live.
I wonder if the buttons can also be mapped to Live's controls or do they render useless in other applications than Reason? Can somebody from speak from some experience with this?

I'd appreciate feedback on this!

The buttons on the interface do not correlate to any software feature in Reason or Live. They are for selecting the inputs. That said, this interface will work absolutely no differently in Live than it would in Reason, or any other audio application.

Good luck!
