axiom pro with 64bit beta?
axiom pro with 64bit beta?
I was trying to use my axiom pro49 with the beta and just realized that the hypercontrol automapping does not work at all. In fact the correct device does not show up in the devices drop down, there is a version of the axiom prefixed with '3-' in the list, but this one doesnt work. When I go back to the 32bit one it has this '3-' one listed as well, but it also has the correct version without the prefix and it works properly with that one.
Just wanted to see if anyone had hypercontrol working with the beta

If you're running the beta, and experience bugs.. Please report them in the beta forum --> viewforum.php?f=46 so that they might get fixed.
Re: axiom pro with 64bit beta?
It works great here...
No go with 3 instances of Axiom Pro in Live prefs...
http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.ph ... post143148
After that you must see only one Axiom Pro in Live prefs(Live 8.3.3)and Live 8.4beta...

Ill give that a shot later today. I kept hunting through the registry trying to find where the extra devices where coming from and couldnt find it and I had uninstalled all the ones I could see in the devmgr already, hopefully now that I can see the hidden ones I can get rid of themdejan wrote:It works great here...

-Edit
Just tried it remotely since I rdp into my box, removed all hidden usb composite devices and m-audio ones, so now I have no hidden usb devices at all, also removed the existing ones for the axiom. Rebooted, and I still have the extra axiom with the '3-' prefix on it
Re: axiom pro with 64bit beta?
First uninstall Axiom Pro then remove all hidden Axiom Pro devices...restart.
Install Axiom Pro driver
Install Axiom Pro driver
Re: axiom pro with 64bit beta?
Thats what I did and the extra axiom entry still exists. I also ran an maudio utility that cleans out duplicate registry entries and it still exists. The thing I still wonder about is why the 32bit release has the valid axiom and the invalid prefixed one, while the 64bit release only has the invalid one. Oh well, posted over in the beta forum so Ill try to keep this over there and try more when I get home later
Also I was wondering, are you using the hypercontrol functionality and that is working? Because I can use it as a midi keyboard, that all works fine, its the hypercontrol that does not workdejan wrote:It works great here...

Yes it works.ezelkow1 wrote: Also I was wondering, are you using the hypercontrol functionality and that is working? Because I can use it as a midi keyboard, that all works fine, its the hypercontrol that does not work
Can you enable hyperControl out?
Re: axiom pro with 64bit beta?
One of the drop down selections for the one with the prefix is with hypercontrol, i had it setup just like the one on the 32bit where the in value is hypercontrol, but it doesnt have an output for hypercontrol associated with it, which is probably where the problem lies.
Ill try messing with it more when I can be directly in front of it, and see if i can get it to a completely fresh state and start form there. My main concern was whether or not hypercontrol support still existed in the 64bit beta, so since at least you have it working, it does. So must be something on my end somewhere

I had the same problem before.ezelkow1 wrote:One of the drop down selections for the one with the prefix is with hypercontrol, i had it setup just like the one on the 32bit where the in value is hypercontrol, but it doesnt have an output for hypercontrol associated with it, which is probably where the problem lies.
Problem is becouse 32 bit Live see more then one instances of Axiom Pro.
When you manage to get only one instance of Axiom on 32 bit
then it will work on 64 bit too.
Re: axiom pro with 64bit beta?
Well no luck. I turned off the axiom, removed all traces I could find and it still didnt work. There are some registry entries that I think are the duplicates but I cannot delete them as it says there was an 'error deleting key'. Even when attempting to change permissions on the registry key I still cant remove them. Opened a thread over on the m-audio forums so maybe one of their support guys can help
