Volume/Velocity in Draw Mode

I'm trying to adjust the velocity/volume while in draw mode and even when I slide the slider down the actual played volume stays the same. What am I doing wrong?

Where in the drum rack do I make each sound velocity sensitive?

I'm still somewhat new at ableton (moving from an MPC) but I'm using a drum rack with samples dragged in as mp3s and sampled in from turntables. When I use internal sounds on a pre-built drum rack the velocity slider definitely changes the volume, but with the external sounds the volume stays the same.

Where in the drum rack do I make each sound velocity sensitive?

Never mind. Figured it out. Found the Volume to Velocity param and found a youtube tutorial on how to copy the param into all pads on a drum rack. Yay. Thanks.
