Monome App for Launchpad (OSX)

Hello guys , I quite fancy checking out the monome apps that are available , My first attempt to set up the polygome app wasnt succesful

Im about to try the 7up app instead

Can a more expereinced user please reccomend to me what they feel to to be the best monome app available

For me monomodular is the best monome emulation for the launchpad, it is very stable and comes bundled with a lot of monome apps and it also works with APC 40&20, ipad etc... The guy behind the project is working for livid instrument now. M4L needed.

unfortunately can't say the same ...it isn't stable for me...at all

I haven't been using Monomodular for very long but I haven't experienced any problems. In fact, it has been very inspiring and I plan on using it with a Livid Code as well. The multi-device support is a big plus.

3dot, can you expand on what you experienced? I'd like to know what to look out for.

crashes when loading a patch...hanging notes etc.
and generally.. it changes every Wednsday..
it's a great project.. and it will probably get/got better..
but 2 crashes and it's off my machine..that's the law..

Thanks for the info. Haven't had a crash yet. Do you remember if this with the default mods or 3rd parties via Modlink?

I think it was with one of the default versions he made.. for popular monome apps...

monomeemu is the best one for my workflow...
easy launchpad in.. to monome osc out..
so you can even trigger stuff on another machine on the network or outside of live..if inclined..
(I did have to get into the monomeemu patch and fix some stuff too btw...it had an issue with registering loads of undo events...
also made it slimmer as I only have 1 LP ...and it supports up to 6!!!)

Thanks for the advice regarding this , I have Monomodular working now , I am struggling to come to terms with how to use it, Is there some kind of golden rule to be followed when adding the devices( for example core objects ) , my results have been very experimental whether i can get a response from the Monome or not

Unsure about the 4 different blocks to choose from also when I press session mode





Some suggestions of monomodular patches to stack together would come in handy for me as I am still not up to date with the full capabilities this has to offer
