how old are you? like 12 or something. why would you even ask a question like that. it sounds to me like you lack experience/skills, so concentrate on getting your shit together first. If your a badass the money will come.

I was searching for 'Rhodes' on the site and saw that you have one and you play keys, props. ;)

get good enough on keys that someone can give you sheet music and you can play it perfectly the first time and 1,000 times after, over and over and you might be able to get a job as a studio musician. all genres.

Personally, I’d rather have a lousy non-music related job than be a professional musician that makes terrible things. I don’t want to be a session musician and help people make bad music. I don’t want to make crappy music for a crappy video games. I find that the sound design for TV and movies is 99.999% utter hideous wretched dreck garbage. For me, music is divorced from money completely. It’s all love, passion, feeling and emotion. It’s the most powerful and lasting form of expression in humanity. One of the greatest successes you can have these days is producing a popular track that everyone steals on the internet for free. And that’s okay with me. It’s a worthy height to reach for, because music is ultimately free.

Love all the outrage in this thread.

So the OP wants a job doing what he loves. Or maybe even has a talent for it.

Is it selling out to make one type of music for recreation and something else for money.

If so, then have I also sold out for having a non music related job even though I love music?

Are you entering contests much. I enjoy doing remixes but negative hype claims remix contests are rigged with almost no chance of any success. If you have any advice I'd love to hear it.
