Serious CPU Glitch In Live 8/OSX

Having issues with this too. It's worse when I'm using Kontakt but happens with other vst instruments as well. I'm on OSX Lion. Sucks.

I have a pretty new macbookpro (march2012) (was on PC for 5 years......)
I have many glitch, crack and CPU overload since with very simple live sets.
I sent all to the ableton's support.....no answer for now.....and I have a live gig this friday......
I'm lost - I have no idea about how to investigate more.

What audio interface are you using? Do you have the latest drivers/firmware installed? What sample rate are you using and have you tried the audio set up in prefs using the test tone and messing around with the interface buffer size?

I'm running Live 8.3.3 on a late 2011 MPB with OSX Lion and I can chuck a hell of a lot at Live before it starts to crumble so hopefully there's a straightforward solution to the problems you're experiencing!
