Hahah! Yes, "Producing Electronic Music with Bavarians" is definitely going to be my next video. :)

I suspect this sentiment manifests most strongly in the electronic music forums.

I'm interested in Ohm Studio, for sure. It gives me an easy way of collaborating with musician friends who have moved all over the world.
agreed...

ohmstudio is nothing like what bw is supposed to be..
whole different story..

we've also yet to see what's up Lives' sleeve (if anything) ...
regarding the supposedly "down for construction" 'share' functions..

I can't imagine bitwig will go anywhere. Its not, "unique," its a copy, and a version 1 at that.

They have to bring the A-Game for Live 9. It seems like a simple thing to say, "bring your A-Game." But I'm pretty serious... Live 9 has to be incredible

I installed and briefly looked at it. Found it a bit funky getting around in it (learning curve). Not sure I am going to spend coin on this since if I want to collab with a buddy who is running live and we have similar instruments/etc... I can just save off to my DropBox account to private pw protected folder that he has access to and work from that as we kick stuff around (sequences, wave files, etc...).

I have already spent more than I planned on audio stuff this year and Live 9 in development behind closed doors (are they working on it? no news = good news?), 64 bit being beta tested, not sure it is justifiable budget-wise (what budget!). I mean $180 to get lifetime on Ohm Studio, how much Live 9 going to cost (should it have similar collab + other updates and fixes) and all....and I would guess they won't be doing free cloud hosting like Ohm appears to be doing (perhaps that's what the pre-order purchase has a bit of it factored into cost + monthly subscribers)... I would haphazard a guess most can't or won't afford a monthly fee for collaboration (I have 2.5gb free in DB, more than enough space since I don't have 10's/20's of tracks per set).

Just my opinion, and everyone know's what opinions are like

having a chat window right there in the project IS a bit like eating a sandwich on the toilet though
This reminds me of somewhere I once worked. For weeks when we went in the toilet we would find sandwich wrappers and crumbs on the cubical floor. In the end the cleaners put up a notice saying 'This is a toilet not a picnic site' which seemed to stop the culprit
