Also, is that a GAIA? I got one but not sure if I like it that much. Controls are amazing. The sampled sound engine I'm not sure about though.

Icon istage. I also got one and wish I could get rid of it. Sensivity and flexibility for custom mapping equal zero, and the leds are so bright they cause eye cancer and kill your apc.

I'm guessing old newspaper or some other form of temporary protection was used to avoid getting paint everywhere?

I wish i could write more positively about it since i had really nice contact with the guys at icon hong kong. I basically got my stuff right from the factory. I also got two g-boards which are really good value for the money.

Maybe it works fine if you use it the way it is set up factory wise, like clip launching nstuff, but i wanted it to control the finger and several instances of beat repeat, and it just missed too many hits. Also, it can only send midi notes, no CCs, in the the only mode ( one of four) you can customize. Even can' t change the midi channel. Built quality was much better than expected though.

All in all, a good excuse to get an ipad and lemur :D

This is my setup, where I spend many fun hours each day. I took a decision a while back to completely get off the gear lust wagon, and just focus on making music with Live's built in synths, effects and tools (I use Suite). I feel I have everything I need in this setup to make electronic music of virtually any genre (although I love deephouse and the sorts the most). You can come a long way with 8 endless rotary encoders and a clip launcher :D I have to say that many VST's seem redundant if one just take the time to learn Live's stuff. It will do a lot for you!
Anyways, I', ranting… :)
