I wrote a free eBook on how to stay focused and finish tunes

Post by COSM » Wed Sep 05, 2012 4:47 am

I am very happy to release a new free eBook - Ten Ways to Keep the Creative Juices Flowing - A Guide for Electronic Producers.

I get asked so often about ways to stay motivated and actually get tracks finished, so I decided to invenst some energy into putting together a pretty comprehensive guide.

I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Tom. I’ll check it out later.

I reckon traveling the world to play festivals can be motivating. :)

Posting tracks to SoundCloud that maybe have a 24 hour chance of being listened to, not so much. :x

Bingo! I found I'm most motivated after long nights of clubbing and djing

I'm less motivated after long days at work

But the eBook is great! Thanks

Btw - new expensive hardware is highly motivating as well! LOL!

That was an interesting read, cheers :)

I've recently found (by accident) that the best way to me to actually finish tunes was for my hard drive with over 2 years worth of projects to suddenly die on me. I've gone from procrastinating over about 40 unfinished tunes in a never ending cycle of, as you say 'ant-fucking' (lol), to starting and finishing tunes in a matter of days - Mainly by limiting myself to working on one track at a time ;)

i wish i spent the same amount of time making music that you take to teach people how to make music.

Your tips and lessons have improved my workflow so much. Thank you

The eBook inspired me to figure out how to use the Follow Action plug-in in Live. Totally makes things interesting and lets me jam on the Machinedrum.

Jam session, no efx - just Machinedrum and the Minitaur and the follow action plug-in. and my headphones http://soundcloud.com/djadonis206/machi ... ession-pt2
