Ableton newsletters - 75% Spam !!!

Out of the past 20 Ableton newsletters, 15 have been focused on selling sample packs and instrument presets.

I for one am personally sick and tired of being spammed with tons uninteresting ads while I am subscribed solely to get news concerning Live version 9.

I got this email from ableton the other day

" hey, hows it going? Your buddy ableton here. Long time no see. Sorry ive been so quiet lately, Ive been really busy working on something. I cant tell you what it is but I think you might know. I cant tell you anything about it either because its top secret. I cant tell you when we finish it, but when we do, We'll let you know via email. Although you will probably already know by then anyway.

I do have some offers for you, so you can save money on gear and soundpacks if you are looking into buying something of that sort, But unfortunately due to complaints about displaying these offers to you in our email, we cannot show you them.

^ yeah i got that one too. it was followed by one from them with a subject that said "Find Out What's New With Live 9"... but the body of the email was blank. i have whittled down the possible meanings to the following:

A. fuck you, there's nothing new here
B. we were gonna tell you but you keep bitching about receiving email you signed up for
C. search for yourself [an internet connection might help]
D. Bitwig ate our homework

Yes it is true that they are doing advertising for packs/hardware/etc....but it lets *some* people know about the deals. I took advantage of a couple of them over the past year but have yet to load them into Live/putz around with them. This latest deal doesn't seem to be anything I am interested in (and higher cost too than previous bundles - but don't know what it all entails so it may be reasonably priced).

But yes, putting it out for advertisements is getting old. Why don't they post some cool tips and tricks while they are at it? Oh wait, we have a thread here for that....
