Fabfilter plugins

Never really considered paying for 3rd party stuff if it is native to Live-is there any reason to pay good money for plugs like these? Ive been lulled into the video demos like a moth to a flame.

Im particularly interested in the eq/limiter and timeless ones.

I can't speak to the specific ones you mention, but I've got Volcano 2, and can say that Fabfilter makes some damn fine plugs IMO.

As the others have said, great plugins generally. Pro-Q is a fantastic EQ and great replacement for the slightly clunky-to-use EQ8 and Spectrum combo.

Timeless is only so-so for me; I find it kind of awkward to use compared to Ableton's delays or Logic's delays, for instance.

I just spent about 3 hours with Timeless and my guitar making a huge swirling ducking delay type thing and the time flew by! I love it. It sounds great and the modulation options are just mind blowing. I've got all their plugins and seldom use anything else (besides Live's own plugins). Just Valhalla Room for reverb and a few others for different things but the FF ones get all the attention in their own areas.

If you want band solo & built-in M/S EQ it'll work as it claims. Nothing special though.

I bought and make use of all of their plug-ins. For me they are worth the price, despite some initial complexities in understanding how parameters affect the sound (Timeless and Volcano). They have well-written manuals, though, so you should also consider spending some time to read them through. As for the sound quality, GUI and support - fantastic!

I use Pro Q all the time, efficient & flexible. Like all their plugins a lot, but I use the nuts & bolts ones the most.

Another big up for ProQ. Basically, if I'm just dicking around myself I'll use EQ8 but if I'm being paid to mix/master or produce for someone, I'm using ProQ. Every time. Most used 3rd party plugin I have.

Pro-Q + Pro-C are a hell of a duo for crafting and fattening bass tones as well as anything else that you use them on. FF plugins are a damn fine investment that you will not be disappointed with.

Just bought Pro G, L and C off a guy at KVR!

I too was lulled by the tutorials. I didn't need Q as PSP Neon is in the same field of greatness, and I don't need Saturn as I'm an Ohmicide fan.
So I just got every plug in I wanted by them for $195!!
