APC40 issue, demo lights

So, either I don't know how to turn off the demo lights or something is wrong. Whenever I turn my apc40, it goes into the little demo snake light show thingy and when I open Live it doesn't stop doing the demo..and Live isn't picking up any movement I make on the APC40. Any ideas or am I just missing something brutally obvious?
