Hi,
I am considering to install the Beta, but would like to understand if the intention is to auto update from Beta to Release version once the release version becomes available?
Auto Update from Beta to Release?
Re: Auto Update from Beta to Release?
I don't think that will happen. But is that an issue? When Live 8.4 (64 bit) will be released you only have to download the new version...
Mac Studio M2 Max and MacBook Pro M1

Ableton Push 2

Re: Auto Update from Beta to Release?
Hi,
The release and the beta are installed on the machine in parallel.
c:/ableton/Live 8
&
c:/ableton Live 8 Beta
Once the live 8.4 beta test is through we release it as Live 8 and if you have automatic updates enabled in your 8.3.4 settings, the 8.3.4 will be replaced with 8.4
The only folder that will remain there, obsolete is the c:/ableton/Live 8 beta
best,
Mads

Re: Auto Update from Beta to Release?
Will projects created with the beta be able to open in the release version?
Cheers!
