It happened on some system, but Andy is usually able to sort the problem.agent314 wrote:It keeps freezing up my machine when it scans the presets for the first time

Re: Alchemy
since the Alchemy libraries are growing, the browser is really such an important feature.antarktika wrote:Oh man, that browser is such a welcome addition. 170 sounds from all the commercial packs free with the update too.

^^ arrrrr, I see. I thought it was some Jewish term for.....something Jewish..
Makes sense They don't come cheap....although I do have a $20 credit....
So timothy, have you got that new shlomo beatbox soundpack ?
I find most of the soundpacks so so...a bit same old... but this one seems pretty different.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone that has used it

Re: Alchemy
How does Alchemy compare to the new Cronox CRX?4 http://www.linplug.com/crx4.html
Are they similar for sample manipulation, does Alchemy have time stretching of a sample?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Alchemy
Ya Alchemy has really good granular capabilities, you can completely mangle a sample. But it can also resynthesis sample additively/spectrally, so there are many ways to manipulate samples. Alchemy is far more powerful than Cronox in that respect. It also loads multi-zone samples and sfz patches.Damonv wrote:How does Alchemy compare to the new Cronox CRX?4 http://www.linplug.com/crx4.html

Re: Alchemy
Wow, the polyphonic pitch bend is fucking impressive.
Re: Alchemy
I love Alchemy and its possibilities, I just have a tendency to forget it from time to time. I just rediscovered it for the umpteenth time a couple of days ago, and I'm looking forward to trying out this newest update.
Re: Alchemy
I just wish they would improve sample browsing when loading patches for the individual voices. It's such a pain in the ass to navigate (not even scrollwheel support? WTF) that I end up almost never using it for sample manipulation, despite it being really good at that.
Also improving the additive editor would go a long way
