worst vsts

Post by ian_halsall » Tue Sep 25, 2012 8:12 am

We've had so many best vsts, best daws, best dj software, best underpants - how about people list the shittest stuff they have every worked with preferably with some (possibly made up) anecdotes about how it f**cked them up.

Such as installed vst "shitmaster dickhead loop player" from "Wanksoft" etc. etc..

I was working on an installation and haven't find a better way but the plugin doesn't even converted a very basic solo piano track correctly to midi notes. I didn't even try chords.

that's rubbish - even has a crap name to go with it - what were you thinking of using something with a name like that?

Mind you Ableton must have put people off in the early days with their name - sounds like an old 1970s British Car.

The British Leyland Ableton 1300.

Maybe not the worst, but the delay lama is hilariously pointless.

Actually, it's quite good fun. I might reinstall it.

Hey Netbook - are you suggesting that those Ableton products are rubbish?

Unfortunately gotta throw Diva on this list for me. Sounds absolutely incredible, but the CPU load is beyond ridiculous at times.

They should have been able to be used in every host if they were so good that people wanted to use in any environment...

I can only think of synths and effects that come bundled with other software like,
Fl Studio's Tb 303
Abletons Amp
the whole set of JS effects in Reaper
Abletons Tension - its suppose to sound like a stringed instrument but sounds like a bad synth
The Push / Novation Launch Pad / Novation Launch Pad Pro / Novation Launch Key
/ Launch Control XL / Machine MkII / Machine Studio / BeatStep / Livid OhmRGB / Livid Code V2 / Apc 40 MKII

no computers or synths

20 Copies of Ableton Live Lite.

I had a totally overrated korg waste-station - hardware - could never get the wave tables to sync up properly with anything.

I know everyone's going to disagree but I found it to be rubbish.

I've also had some total crap loop cds - "essential dance mega loop euphoria meltdown" - I kid you not.
