Copy/paste when registering Blue

Post by tone61 » Sat Oct 06, 2012 1:32 pm

I tried to register Rob Papen's Blue from Live 8.4. b8.
It asks for serial number.
When I try to copy/paste the serial from their web site, the serial is not pasted correctly.
First it shows the correct characters, but there are extra characters after that.
If I try to type the serial using keyboard, every keypress creates the character several times.
Like if I press 'x' I get xxxx.

Windows7 PC.

Hi,

Interesting issue.
What happens when you try to paste the same text to channel/clip name. To a M4L device?
If the text is pasted right it would be an issue for RP, please let me know how he tests above pan out and I will relay the info to them.

Best,
Mads

Today I tried again this registration and now copy/paste was working - but it says the serial is invalid.
Copy/paste to rename a clip also worked ok.
I thought you can't use M4L in 64bit Live?

So: no idea what the copy/paste problem was, but now seems to work.
I've contacted RP support to find out what to do.

Hi tone,

Correct, m4l is 32 bit only, but your posts didnt mention bit depth so I made a suggestion.

I activated the explorer II bundle and did not have a problem of the gui not being brought to front and not being able to activate it.
I will lock this thread, please open a new thread should you have news on the problem - if we can fix it on ableton side.

Best,
Mads
