Any guitar players out there?

Post by Mint Invader » Thu Oct 18, 2012 1:44 pm

Im going to go shopping for guitar pedals (Overdrive/Distortion) and Im looking to see if anyone has any they would recomend.

Im trying to get away from amplitube/guitarrig and get into a warmer sounding analogue territory.

Ive been looking at the Little Big Muff and a few of the digitechs but my budget is going to allow for one. :/
Because Whatever.

Behringer scares me...

Compared to ripping off mixers... how does this fair?

I read a couple of reviews on the net, and everyone said that the behringer pedal sounds exactly the same as the Ibanez. So I bought it and have no complaints so far.

I cant really argue on price points. Ill probably check out the ultra cheap behringer pedals, and if I ever get one I love ill go and buy the real deal versions.

Ideally you should run your $2,000+ analog synth through the cheapest possible foot pedals to get a pro sound. :x

don't get a TS9 they're very overpriced and don't even sound that great. Tubescreamer clones are a dime a dozen and almost all of them are better than the ibanez ones. what's your budget?

50 to 100 a month. I plan on picking one up as I go along. Just picked up a metal muff yesterday. Already having fun.

Course now I have to start compensating for electronics feedback. Yay.

Then you need to compensate with quality pedals. :x

You can try the Ibanez Super Tube. That's post TS9 but it sounds quite good and I think they must be way cheaper on second hand market. Bought mine new in the late 80's and it still works and sound good.

I've had some good luck with fulltone pedals. They have a nice warm sound and two levels of distortion.
