Why keep it to movies. American Horror Story: Asylum just started this week and it's about as B as you get and you can watch a new episode each week.

The Cabin in the Woods is great on so many levels and it is very funny.

Re: any good horror movie recomendations?
OK, you want something like ‘From Beyond’? Here you go:
Slither
2006
Strong homage to 80’s style over-the-top prosthetic make-up monster movie that’s also very funny.
Prince Of Darkness
1988
John Carpenter explores some Lovecraftian elements in this mix of physics & the supernatural.
The Blob
1988
You want elaborate effects of people melting, you got it.
Oh, & speaking of people melting:
The Devil's Rain
1975
Where else can you see Captain Kirk square off against Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church Of Satan?!
You’ve probably already seen some of the better known 80’s Horror/Comedy flicks:
The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn, Re-Animator, The Howling, American Werewolf In London, Humanoids From The Deep, Motel Hell, Creepshow, Fright Night, The Stuff, Pet Sematary.
As well as some of the serious 80’s classics:
The Thing, Hellraiser, The Fog, Inferno, The Shining, Possession, Tenebre, Videodrome, Company Of Wolves, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Phenomena, Aliens, The Fly, The Hitcher, Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer, Nomads, Predator, Dead Ringers, Pin: A Plastic Nightmare, Pumpkinhead, They Live.
More B-movie gold:
Dagon
2001
Director Stuart Gordon (‘Re-Animator’ 1985, ‘From Beyond’ 1986) returns to H.P. Lovecraft territory in this non-stop chase with monsters in hot pursuit! Great fun with a lead actor who strongly reminds one of Jeffrey Combs from ‘Re-Animator’.
The Faculty
1998
Witty updating of the ‘Invasion Of The Body Snatchers’ theme.
The Hidden
1987
Body-hopping alien.
Lifeforce
1985
Tobe Hooper’s (‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ 1974) completely wacky apocalyptic space vampire film.
The Ward
2011
John Carpenter delivers the goods with an old school style horror film.
And I’ll second most of the previous recommendations, especially:
‘Phantasm’
1978
A highly creative dream-like flick.
Gems from the crypt…
Mysterious
Retribution
2006 - Japan
Cult director Kiyoshi Kurosawa creates a very haunted mood throughout this masterful film.
Ghosts
The Innkeepers
2011
Director Ti West’s follow up to the well-received ‘The House of The Devil’ (also recommended), is a classic, slow ghost story with echoes of ‘The Shining’. Good character development & quirky sense of humour.
The Haunting
1963
Arguably the definitive haunted house movie. Watch it with the lights out.
Vampires
Near Dark
1987
One of the best vampire flicks ever made. Utterly vicious.
Martin
1978
Director George A. Romero’s (‘Night of The Living Dead’ 1968) brilliant deconstruction of the vampire myth.
Werewolves
Dog Soldiers
2002 – UK/Luxembourg
Werewolves done right by director Neil Marshall (The Descent’ 2005).
Exorcism
The Last Exorcism
2010
Extremely good mockumentary that seems to constantly subvert everything that one expects of an exorcism film.
Occult
Outcast
2010 – UK/Ireland
Wow. This very unique film reveals a terrifying world that lives just below the surface. Highly recommended.
Zombies & The Infected
Pontypool
2008
One of the most unusual & intelligent takes on the zombie/infected mini-genre.
The Signal
2006
3 parts, each directed by a different director. Non-linear & elliptical, I’m looking forward to what’s next from the director of the first section: David Bruckner.
Day Of The Dead
1985
The darkest, & my favorite of George A. Romero’s 'Dead' films. Searing horror & dramatic tension with what still remain some of the best makeup effects ever put on film.
Psychos
American Psycho
Hoo-haw! This one gets it right as both comedy & genuine horror. Surprisingly good.
The Stepfather
1987
Far better than most of the mainsrteam psycho thrillers of the day.
Weirdness
Dogtooth
2009
Greece
Home-schooled siblings grow up cut off from society.
Blood River
2009
A wee bit like ‘The Hitcher’ 1986, but much stranger.
YellowBrickRoad
2010
Mysteries in the New Hampshire wilderness.
Braindead
1990
What’s real, & who am I anyway?
Feed
2005
Not for weak stomachs.
Real Life Horror
After all, we are the true monsters…
The Girl Next Door
2007
Disturbing, more so because it was inspired by true events.
Aliens
Skyline
2010
Pretty decent alien take-over.
Vintage Classics
Bride Of Frankenstein
1935
A Horror comedy that is amazing on every level.
Freaks
1932
Director Tod Browning's masterpiece. Still darkly disturbing.
The Black Cat
1934
Cult director Edgar G. Ulmer’s satanic tale featuring Boris Karloff & Bela Lugosi at the top of their game.
Val Lewton's series of psychological Horror films
Val’s work is ambiguously poised between the rational & the supernatural. Highly recommended for those who like the slow & creepy.
Cat People
1942
Val Lewton’s first & one of his best. A tale about sexual repression.
I Walked With A Zombie
1943
Wonderful, lyrical, & evocative. Great music throughout.
The Seventh Victim
1943
Bleak tale of morbidity & Satanists in Greenwich Village.
Slither
2006

PS: Do not watch the sh*tty Hollywood remake. Get the original!

"Kill List" is an interesting low budget Brit crime-horror from the last year or so.
More atmosphere of dread than gore. Tends to divide opinion though.

The Awakening
2011
UK
Old-school ghost story fans, this one's for you! Set in post WW1 England 1921. I found it to be excellent, with some truly outstanding cinematography. A new fave.
Citadel
2012
Ireland/UK
Not great, but some atmospheric, creepy goings on to be sure.
The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence
2011
USA
Absolutely stunning. Goes far beyond the first film.
