funken i get the sense that you truly just dont know any better. since i dont really like ripping people new assholes unless they really deserve it (i believe in karma) im going to help you understand since i think you mean well.
1. you cant copy other peoples idea's from a forum and then put them on your website just to show people within the same forum, its counter productive.
its like going to a college listening to the professor give a lecture to a body of students then turning around and giving the same lecture to the same body of students.
2. you should rethink your web site's design, if you want your site to be up there with the major websites it needs to look like a major website. there are plenty of open source templates out there to get you started.
3. make you tube video's that no one is doing, example: that torley guy will do youtube video's that are sometimes over an our long going through almost every aspect of a vst or vsti he gets a shit load of hits by doing this. his personality really sets him apart from everyone else also (it doesn't feel like he trying to sell something)
4. this is the most important do not come off as a salesman. you instantly lose respect if you are trying hard to sell something, let people know your idea is out there once and keep them updated ONLY with new content.
5. if this is all just a hobby then ignore everything i said.
another thing, don't make people who visit your sites location visible, i hate knowing my location is visible to everyone else. hit counters and location maps are all things that remind me of the web from 2001.
