Time Warp?

Now in this version of 5.0, i cant click on the Bpm in the clip view, it highlight in black, and the manually press in the numbers i want it to be. It only allows me to click on it, and go up and down witht he mouse... see it auto warped, and beat mapped it out for me, but it wasnt right at all, so i wanted to do it myself. Well i un-warped it, and it didnt ask me if i wanted to keep those settings or not... so i had to manually go in, and delete each warp marker. Then i find out that i cant change the tempo in the clip view to the exact number i want it to be... whats up with this? Unless im doing something wrong, i have to say, this REALLY sucks.
