The partner instruments page looks awful...
https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/

It's like sample store managed by an indivisual. The previous store was cleaner.

Thanks rikhyray...

I'm gonna go punch my grandfather in the gut for just being in the same age group as the creator of this abominable 'makeover'.

NO. COLOURS ARE NOT SUBJECTIVE, and neither is graphic design.

Graphic Design is NOT EXPRESSIVE ART with forgiving amounts of poetic license.
It is an objective process with tried and tested guidelines known to deliver visual communications which people understand.

There are different types of colour schemes, which have SCIENTIFIC method behind them, such as:
TRIADIC

ACCENTED

DOUBLE COMPLIMENTARY

... and dozens more styles of colour scheme which make sense for different projects..
One might also use a colour scheme based on colours in nature which work together and suit the project at hand...

More on colour schemes:

The colour scheme used on the new Ableton Website and focum is a bastardized rectangular tetradic, with extra bland cream thrown in for good measure. The result is this sickly, gaudy mess in front of our eyes now.

Look at these beautiful colour schemes, then compare them to Abletons new colour scheme at the bottom:

This deserves a slow clap.

I just made a post in the lounge about this yesterday, not having seen this thread first. Thank god I'm not alone. I thought Ableton had been bought out by some childish dictator who put his 16 year old cousin in charge of web design.

overall i can't say i mind this site too much, the new approach with a bolder artsy look is something i can appreciate and the responsive design actually works quite great, looked at it on my phone as well.

to be honest the only three things that really bother me with the new site are:

- the two shades of blue, the orange and yellow are much more acceptable in comparison.
- font choice (i suppose it's cool for headers but perhaps a bit overused on everything else)
- shop and pack pages: 1.) why do they split the page in half with the colors; 2.) why the blues and not orange? it would at least be easier on the eyes.

Discusting!

The colours? Yak
This fake skin beige, ugly blue and pink from the from the 80's
The navigation sucks!
Why did they remove the link to the forums! I though they had completly deleted the forums until I googled it.

I really like the photography as well.
There are a FEW things I like about the new design, but its just so awkard to navigate.

They obvsiouly release the website half-baked!

I think they did the release earlier then expected because of the leak of the video.
I seriouslt doubt that was intentional of there part. Someone messed up and they had to do the launch to fix it.

I agree with comments about the logo. The new one sucks! So sterile! I liked the "movement" in the old one. Reminded me of looking at the meters in session.
