The price that you're seeing now does include the Max for Live discount, yes. Remember that there will also be an introductory discount for Suite 8 owners upon the release of Live 9 Suite, which you'll also receive.
ok, thanks David

why not show that introductory discount now?

Okay, so I was trying to buy the upgrade to suite 8 and it did the sudden jump from $194 to $299. First off, I think I should be able to purchase this at the price that I dropped in the cart ($194). Secondly, I bought max for live only 2 months ago, and it seems that I am not getting this $65 discount. :? Ridiculous.

David, you keep saying this. And I did exactly this earlier, hoping to see if - now that my authorization has mysteriously been downgraded from Suite 8 to Standard - I should just take advantage of the €89 upgrade to Suite 8 I was being offered.

Had no reply, and in that time, it's now jumped to €161. So, some help support were there.

It seems that Ableton are stubbornly refusing to accept (admit) that the pricing options - with all the varied packs and extras users may already own - is just not done clearly on the new site. Either that or what we're seeing here is that a huge amount of your loyal, long-time customers must simply be too stupid to understand. Hopefully, you agree it's the former.

Yep, mine was in the cart, and I was just trying to get a clear response from customer support when the price hike happened.

Ableton_david:

I checked prices before live 9 was announced cause I was considering upgrading. So, as many post in other topics state, all of us could see:

October 24, Upgrade to Suite 8 download version from Live 8: 262 USD, No discoount. (Boxed 305USD)

October 25, Upgrade to Suite 8 download version from Live 8: 197 USD, 25% off, includes FREE suite 9

October 26, Upgrade to Suite 8 download version from Live 8: 299 USD, 25% off, Includes free suite 9

The problem is that the new price is even higher that what it was without any discount ( $130 UP).

My offer for Push + upgrade to Suite 9 is $948 (minus the $599 cost of the push) puts the software upgrade worth $349.
i'm starting to wonder if that is the price to upgrade to push + suite from basic push (w/live intro) and not from whatever you are running now. would make a lot more sense.

Did the same here though I had the funds

but when I logged in to my cart tonight
it had changed from 164 euro to 239.

Well, guess I should have upgraded last night. So, is this higher price the new corrected price? Unbelievable. They shouldn't post new prices and info if it wasn't set in stone.

So, Abelton_David, is this the correct price, or will it go back down to what it was yesterday for me ($197). I was ready to order it, and now, well, not so much.

I got exactly the same thing. What seemed like a reasonable (but not insignificant sum to upgrade to Suite then Live 9) and now it shoots up to 254 Euro from 179 Euro.
This has been handled very badly.

This happened to me as well. What is going on? How can saving 25% put me more out of pocket than the pre-sale prices...
