I notified Mr Man. There's no clips with LSEQ as mentioned in the manual, as amatter of fact the majority of my clyphx actions are from X-Controls and removing them from preferences doesn't make a difference, but removing Clyphx does...hopefully it's something that can be remedied quickly with no harm to that massive ClyphXT script I've been writing for the Quneo.

I forgot to mention, I found out yesterday that it isn't the Quneo that's bombarding Undo, it ClyphX

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
With a simple fix that would stop MIDI-controlled parameters from recorded into the undo buffer, this problem could be solved. Even better, this could be made into an option, as people using Live in studio situations would probably like to keep this feature.

dunno about 'a simple fix', but i added it to the wishlist a while ago:

I reported this problem to Ableton many years ago. They told me they don't see it as a problem or something like that. I hope they solve this finally in Ableton 9.

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Does anyone know which pads are the most sensitive, QuNeo, Launchpad, Maschine Mk2, Machine Mk2 MIKRO or KORG padKONTROL?
Many thanks,
Many thanks,

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
I have a QuNeo and a Maschine Mk1, so I can speak to those - the Maschine is light-years more sensitive.
I love the QuNeo, it can do some very useful things and it seems pretty solidly built. There is some range of adjustment on the sensitivity of the pads, but I find that even at the most sensitive, it really doesn't pick up the lightest touches reliably - around the bottom 20-25% of the velocity range. Otherwise, I love it.
The Maschine hands down beats any other pad controller I've tried. It's super-responsive and very consistent, even with very low velocities. I assume that the pads on the Maschine Mk2 series are the same, if not better.
I haven't tried a padKontrol, I know people rave about how good they feel.
The Launchpad is not velocity-sensitive, I believe. It's like the APC40, the pads are triggers, but no velocity-sensing.

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Agreed; I haven't used Maschine but I'm on my 2nd padKontrol and they are consistent and sensitive, though it wouldn't surprise me if Maschine was the same if not a little more sensitive.
Quneo, it will receive some kind of signal with slight touches but there are inconsistencies between corners vs center, which they claim to be working on. When they will release an update, who knows. It's not as sensitive as I thought but you have global sensitivity options along with some independent sensitivity options so it's not like you have to press hard, though it's easy to get low sensitivity and have to put heavy pressure to get it to %100but also if you turn the sensitivity all the way up and it's very easy to get the center up to %100. The big issue is the corners vs center. I think they definitely wanted to make sure this could take a beating.
Also note, Padcontrol uses velocity, not pressure, like a lot of other pad controllers Velocity is with one strike, pressure is different values while you're holding down the pad, so maybe some other controller that uses pressure would be a closer comparison. I haven't used velocity as much with Quneo but there are different settings like Linear, a couple curves and also mimics of Maschine/MPC...

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
I bought a Speck ipad case before I got mine. Looks like they don't sell that version anymore but it snaps in quite nicely.
It won't close all the way, however; looks like it sticks up a little too much but it's still hinged so it can close a little bit, but the back arches up, then there's a fold 1/3rd way down so it angles back down. Not a huge issue imo. It fits in it so nicely and provides a solid backing that it mores more than it doesn't.
It does come with a nice sleeve, but I'm too lazy to use it everytime I want to use the QuNeo; I just keep it on my desk and the semi-closed folding is good enough for me.

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Any QuNeo owners can tell me something about the OSC implementation on it? Quickly scanned the KMI site and the manual, but couldn't find anything more than the statement that it's supported alongside MIDI...
Just saw the new QuNexus article and that's supposed to support OSC too... as well as CV!

There's their Osc Bridge beta software...http://files.keithmcmillen.com/download ... 9_BETA.zip
Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Thanks for the fast reply - so no direct OSC then, like MIDI? I have to always start the bridge for it to work even if I have an OSC-capable host like Reaktor or Max running. Just wondering if they'd managed to send OSC over USB directly... just like iOS apps that send OSC directly without having to run a client on the computer.shadx312 wrote:There's their Osc Bridge beta software...http://files.keithmcmillen.com/download ... 9_BETA.zip

Doesn't look like it. Looks like this is latest word on it:

not seeing much jumping up n down with excitement over it
is it awesome? is it solid? is it fun?
how bout: rate 1-10
