808/ 909/ 303 sounds

Post by sean84 » Mon Nov 05, 2012 9:46 pm

Hi, I have live lite and would like to get some good 808, 909 and 303 sounds to use. Does any one have any packs, or know where I could download some packs with those sounds?

Thanks very much!

Sean

There are tons of free samples in the internet. Just google and make your own sets

D16 Classic Boxes Collection

You get a 606 as well.

The D16 Group 808, 909, and 303 emulators are quite good. The 303 one even comes with a cool distortion effect.

Some sample packs have nice processed sounds though, which can save some time.

The original had two distinctive distortion modes, so all emulators should copy those, I assume this is an extra one?
While I've never used an original 303, Phoscyon's seems quite a bit more tweakable:

They also offer an expanded version as a separate plugin (Devastor).

distinctive distortion modes in a original TB 303 :?:

I always use a stomp box or my hardware mixer for the distortion effect.

Interesting, you seem to have discovered an until now unknown, prototype super 303.
The plain vanilla un-distorted TB303 should become near worthless now, and then I might able to afford one.

Shuffles of to play with his x0xb0x and tubescreamer

Ugh, I hate those "should have bought it" feelings for certain pieces of gear. They're so much worse than the "why did I buy that?" feeling. Mine was my first guitar amp purchase. Really liked this special edition tweed 60-watt Marshall head/cab that was loaded with EL-34s and 4x10 speakers. Got talked into a JCM900 w/1960AV cab instead. Still a nice amp/cab, but I can't even find any info on that tweed Marshall anywhere on the internet now!
I need a baby sit my boys and work the day job plug-in.
