Sigh. My new 27" IPS monitor arrives today, giving me three. I'm baffled they couldn't manage to undock some damn windows for 9.

+1 for a more flexible interface. Like making instruments bigger - it will be possible for the EQ in Live 9, why not for everything? And why not dynamic? I mean, it's not that hard to do...

I still don't get this. How can Ableton Live not suppport multiple monitors? It's a simple feature that I think Reason nailed: You can opt to undock the mixer from the sequencer and move it anywhere you want. If you perfer everything in one window, that's fine as well. Just give us the option!

Isn't there a M4L patch that somewhat does this?

^ yes.

i think the reason they do not support dual monitors is partially in the name "Live" you/a performer typically only have/has one laptop on stage.

they intentionally created a program that would not have the floating window style mess, a la Cubase, that can trip you up when performing.

It's possible to support multiple monitors WITHOUT floating hell windows.
I suggest relocatable panes, in savable screensets.

It makes me laugh when people imagine the shitest solution and say " I don't want that shit thing I just imagined" , well you just failed at the imagination game. That's 0 points to you. I'm glad I'm not trapped in a spec meeting with you miserable cunts.

Imagine shit sandwich, rule out sandwiches ... Next !

More seriously, it looks like they have taken a policy decision not to go there. They must have given it some thought. It would be good to know their Logic and their Reasons though.
