Question about Sample management in Ableton
Re: Question about Sample management in Ableton
It seems to me that you're trying to use Live as an audio editor instead of a DAW.
The best way to edit audio (such as chopping up a sample into individual slices and saving them) is to use.......audio editing software.
If I had the same task, I would use Adobe Audition which has a "save selection" option. No need to even cut up the wave, just highlight the section you want and "save selection".

Consolidate each of the snippets (ctrl-j on windows). When you "Collect All and Save", they will be saved in the project folder as samples, named the way they are in the arrangement.
