jtdj - how stoned were you when you wrote this? Why waste people's time posting dumb jokes (& it is pretty dumb) like this in Music and Audio Production? Surely dross like this belongs in the Lounge.

I thought the "I'm currently "wet"." part was funny
I have never understood the people that find a relation between software and sexual arousal :|

i hate this nerdy internet culture of "trolling". It was a joke not "trolling". I use Ableton almost every day, its great software, but does that mean I can't take this piss out of it? Lets face it 3 years for a minor update is fair game for a joke, will i still use it? yes. will i defend it to the hilt like some sad obssesed 14 year old boy? No thank you.

Not such a big fan of the cult of calling everyone a fanboys or haters either myself.

Ok, I harsh about saying piss off, but the level of "why has ableton not done this" posts round here has gotten stupid.

The upgrade seems completely in line with previous upgrades. 3 or 4 big feature requests, updates to some devices, new content plus something a bit different.

Anyone who expected much more hasn't been paying attention.

If it's not 128bit I'm not buying it.

I was slightly disappointed when i read the announcment I must admit, 3 years in develpoment without even a whisper lends to great expectations but Ableton is still a very good piece of software with or without version 9. But I'm still excited to see what Bitwig will become even if some on here see any postive mention of Bitwig as trolling.

I really agree with this, a joke is a joke, it is suppose to be funny. Trolling is purposely trying to piss people off or creating a hostile atomosphere to purposely piss people off. A joke can be, taking something that pisses people off and making them laugh about it.
There is a huge difference, one guy wants you to get angry and the other wants you to laugh.

here is a better example:
Fox News = Trolls
The Daily Show with John Stewart = Jokes

The internet needs to stop shiting on people who are shiting on people/things, who are just shiting to make everyone have a good time
