I use a Toddy Maker

Essentially a cold brew, slow action (12 hours) french press and filter.

More caffeine, less bitterness.

More magic too - look into it.

Yes I know I'm necrobumping threads that should be in the Lounge. However this one had the most relevant information.

IMO either of these two [Hario Mini Mill]:

plus one of these [Aeropress] are the best (cheap) way to go:

I think that most agree, this is certainly an audio production technique. There are tools for the sound aspect, and there are tools for the mental aspect (organization, comfort, alertness).

I got one of these but got fed up with the cost and hassle of the coffee capsule things.

The thing lay dormant for a while until I pressed it into use as a sausage making machine.

It makes great sausages but I am starting to worry about hygiene - there are flies all over the place now.

I actually melted one of these - seriously - left it on the gas for ages - came back from a 2 week coma and it had just melted.

Another tool/beverage that I have yet to try is Club Mate - it's popular with the hackers apparently...

I've since replaced the small iRoast roaster with a much larger Behmor 1600 that allows me to roast almost a pound at a time.

I like to put a smidge of cool water in with the grounds before the hot stuff, tends to keep it more smooth.

We have one but if you are a coffee drinker, it gets expensive. We usually use another coffee maker for a morning brew and get decaf K cups for the Kuerig. K-Cup coffee does taste good.
