Yup! I can recommend Dainese shorts if you're falling on ice/hardpack regularly.aizo wrote:But I fell straight on my butt......
Does it still pass as a concussion?

Re: OT: Snowboarding... as in riding... snowboards...
I've started a new fashion called 'single inline shoeing'.
It is a modern, more funky slant on the otherwise well established practice of wearing two shoes (ie one for each foot).
Instead, you put both feet on one big shoe and jump/shuffle along, holding up the sad old trad dads with their unhip shoe on each foot trying to get to places or enjoy walking with a shoe on each foot in the millennia proved fashion.
The great thing is, the payoff for this lack of efficiency/balance/ co-ordination is that occasionally, when you are not falling over, it looks a bit like skateboarding/surfing. And we all know how cool that is, right kids!
(I'm targetting the West Coast of the America as they seem to go in for this sort of thing big time. Australia next, then British wealthy students.)

Sigh, I'm dying here I didn't get season pass this year thinking it was going to be a blah winter based on the forecasts (and other reasons), and so far it's been epic.

Thanks Tarekith, the use of the word 'epic' is something I am keen to cultivate for my shoeing sport, alongside 'radical' and 'extreme'.

Although, living outside the US, (like what the rest of the world does), I draw the line at 'retarded'.simmerdown wrote:beatmunga congrats, that sounds supremely retarded!

at beatmunga - i've had two knee surgeries. i would NEVER get on a pair of skis. a snowboard doesn't cause my knees to go any which way if/when i fall.
mock all you want... but i'll be ripping my way through Alpine Meadows Christmas day. oh yeah.
