Looks beautiful.

but I mean.. The pads looks squishy. Eww.
I wonder if it could be used as a sequencer for a Moog.

I have one in white. It's a great controller. I'll probably get a Push, too, and use them alongside each other.

It has lots of knobs and faders, makes a great XoX-style programmer, and is built like a tank. The middle encoders are continuous, are LED ringed, and you can use them as pushbuttons. The faders feel really nice. It loads up to 4 "scenes" and you can do stuff like use the faders as 8 selectable channels with the knobs on top being switchable between eq settings, effects sends, etc. Because it's a generic MIDI device, it also plays nice with video editing software, as a Traktor controller, etc. You can drive a lot of Ableton with it, but not like you could with a Push, I am sure.

The pads feel nice. The only thing I'm not totally thrilled about though is that the pads aren't velocity sensitive.

I would not even remotely categorize it as 'push competition'. But it Does look like a lovely, beautiful, versatile controller.

It'd be great if vsts and software made themselves step sequence friendly to third party controllers. This would make a vicious candidate for it!!

Sorry, when I see a 4x4 grid of pads I immediately want to beat out drums on them, and I want velocity sensitivity to do that.

Though to be fair those are pretty small I imagine.

Looking at the Livid site, I fell in love with their Element modular controller, though 8O

They also make great toggle buttons (as do the middle set of encoders) when mapped to a softsynth or effects plugin. Being generic, it's really useful for all kinds of stuff. I also have a QuNeo, it's great in it's own way. None of these controllers do everything in all situations. I don't mind at all! livids max4live step sequencers are really cool, too.
