Didn't you have any tags on your song? You need to put as many tags that relate to the song as you can. That way when people search for music they can find your music easier.

I never know what to put
But please do tell, did you like how I did really awesome stuff like having the beat and bass play at the same time?

Re: New Track: Your Eyes Are Slot Machines
The song is not really my style of electronic music but it was great nonetheless. I can't really give any feedback because I know nothing about that sub-genre, but I would listen to it again.
As for the tags, just start with basic stuff like 'electronic', or the genre of your music. Put each word of the song's title into a seperate tag (eg. "Your" "Eyes" "Are" "Slot" "Machines"), and maybe do the same with your name (eg. "Maybe" "Logic"). I find this works. Also putting stuff like "synth" and "bass" and "drums" might work.
I'm not sure if capitalizing the tags does anyting to it, though. Check out the tags on one of my tracks for an example.

I like it. Made me think of like, walking through a bazaar in another country.

Cheers for your comments.
@ BassGrab, no offense, but you've only got one track up... twice... plastered with tags, yet very few plays and just two followers. If I may be so bold, I'd recommend you stop wasting time trying to figure out how to "optimise your visibility" and actually write some music.
Cue angry face:

Look bro, don't have a go at me just because I gave you constructive feedback. You wanted feedback. I've just started on soundcloud about 2 weeks ago so no I don't have many plays. I'm not speaking from experience. All I'm saying is that it is more or less a common opinion on the use of tags. =) be happy!

As I said in my post, I really wasn't trying to have a go at you. I'm just a little bit blasé of late with the whole "do this to get that" mentality which I confess to having blindly lumped you in. If you think that unjustified, then I apologise. I was looking more for feedback on the actual music, if that makes sense. No hard feelings.fynns23 wrote:Look bro, don't have a go at me just because I gave you constructive feedback. You wanted feedback. Been getting a few on this track. Think I'm at that stage where both I and mankind seem to enjoy my work. Feels kinda bubbly.
