can someone explain how to mix all the tracks in the arranger to one so i can grab a single .aiff file from it?

You have to record the mix onto another track.

Simply set a tracks input device to "master out" and press the record button for that track.

You must set the audio record directory in misc preferences.

On pressing record for the track your work will play and be recorded to the directory you set as wav/aif file depending on what you set in record file type in misc preferences.

Personally I prefer to record to wavelab, but I have done this and it works fine.

how do you record to wavelab, is it just a matter of having wavelab listen to the audio port you are using as master out in live?
